The Summit County Clerk of Courts, Legal Division keeps Common Pleas civil, felony-criminal, domestic-relations, and Summit-filed appeal records, while municipal, probate, and juvenile courts keep their own materials. This private guide explains which official channel generally matches a record request, calendar question, or case lookup, so visitors can start with the right office instead of assuming one county search reaches every court.

Why We Built This Site

Ohio makes many court records available, but it has no unified statewide public search for trial-court cases. In Summit County, the first decision is usually whether a matter belongs with the Summit County Court of Common Pleas, General Division, or with a separate local court. Tavia Galonski's Summit County Clerk of Courts, Legal Division maintains the Common Pleas record streams and Summit-filed Ninth District Court of Appeals (Ohio) matters. Akron, Barberton, and Stow municipal courts, Cuyahoga Falls Mayor's Court, Probate Court, and Juvenile Court use their own record channels.
